Several times a year Gatanga Kiiga organizes community awareness events to help educate the public about HIV/AIDS and reduce stigma. These events are made possible by a grant from ICAP.
Below are photos from our most recent event in April 2010. We focused on the youth for this event so activities involved a football match, volleyball game and a dance competition. Throughout the event we offered free HIV/AIDS testing on site with a VCT trained nurse. The event was a huge success and we had over 600 people attend despite a rather substantial rain delay.
